Tim Ensor has a diverse and extensive work experience in various companies and roles. Tim is currently a board member at CW (Cambridge Wireless Ltd) since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Cambridge Consultants from 2018 to 2022, where they served as the Commercial Director & EVP - Wireless & Digital Services, Director of Capabilities, and Director of Artificial Intelligence. In these roles, they were responsible for global commercial functions, strategy consulting, business development, account management, marketing, and capabilities development.
Before Cambridge Consultants, Tim worked at Tharsus as the Chief Commercial Officer from 2016 to 2018. Tim led the sales and marketing team, implemented new sales processes, and transformed the company from a generic electro-mechanical contract manufacturer to a leading robotics business in the UK.
Tim also had a significant tenure at Cambridge Consultants from 2012 to 2016, where they held roles such as Commercial Director, Associate Director and Head of Connected Devices, and Business Development Manager. Tim played a crucial role in growing professional service sales, overseeing the development of world-first technology solutions, and establishing Cambridge Consultants as a leading product development company.
Prior to their time at Cambridge Consultants, Tim worked at A.T. Kearney as a Manager from 2008 to 2012. Tim also served as the Chief Technology Officer at Casient Ltd from 2003 to 2007, overseeing technical development and bringing innovative wireless network solutions to the building services industry.
Tim's early career includes a role as a Technology Developer at Sentec Ltd from 2001 to 2007. Overall, Tim's work experience showcases their expertise in wireless technology, commercial strategy, business development, and leadership roles.
Tim Ensor earned an MEng degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from the University of Bath, which they attended from 1997 to 2001. Tim later pursued an MBA degree at the University of Cambridge from 2007 to 2008. In 2018, Tim took a sabbatical to focus on reading, reflecting, and writing.
