Jez Stark has a diverse work experience in various roles within the technology industry. Jez started their career in 1996 as a Tester at Dolby Laboratories, where they tested, repaired, and upgraded cinema processors and studio equipment. In 2001, they worked as an Audio Engineer at Panasonic's R&D department, contributing to the audio development team as a key member. Jez continued their journey at Panasonic in 2004 as a Cost Down Engineer, focusing on developing cost-effective solutions for production TV sets.
In 2004, Jez joined ARM as an Applications Engineer, providing technical support and training to major companies worldwide regarding embedded solutions. Jez later joined CSR in 2005 as an Automotive Applications Engineer, offering direct support and training to prominent companies such as Nokia, TomTom, Siemens, Harman Becker, and Motorola. During their tenure, they actively contributed to the development of profiles such as Wideband Speech.
Jez expanded their role at CSR in 2008, becoming an eXtension Partner Manager, where they managed CSR's eXtension Program and partner relations with companies like SRS, DTS, Dolby, Waves, Sensory, Acoustic Technologies, and Dynamic Hearing. Their responsibilities also included ecosystem strategy development and leveraging CSR's strengths in the wireless audio market.
In 2014, Jez joined Cambridge Consultants as the Head of Networked Systems, where they played a crucial role in creating innovative concepts and taking products into manufacturing. Their projects primarily involved delivering prototype hardware or software and trial production batches. Jez then transitioned to the role of Head of Semiconductor Services, leading disruptive market strategies through breakthrough technologies and intellectual property. In 2021, Jez was promoted to Commercial Director & Head of Semiconductor Services, responsible for assisting semiconductor partners in revenue increase through additive technology development and unique intellectual property.
Most recently, Jez is serving as the SVP, Client at Cambridge Consultants, a position they assumed in June 2022. In this role, they continue to contribute their unrivaled commercial and technical expertise to the company's clients.
Jez Stark attended the University of South Wales from 1998 to 2004, where they completed an MEng in Digital Telecommunications. Their coursework covered various subjects, including Electronics, DSP, Radio, Signal Propagation, Speech Technologies, and C programming.
