Brooke A. Travis has extensive experience in biology education and research. Currently serving as a Biology Tutor at Cambridge Coaching since October 2021 and as a PhD Candidate in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University since September 2020, Brooke A. Travis is focused on investigating the metabolic function of deep sea fauna through the lens of symbiosis. Previously, Brooke A. Travis worked as a Research Assistant at the Girguis Lab at Cornell University from August 2017 to May 2020 and held the position of Head Biology Tutor at the Learning Strategies Center. Additionally, Brooke A. Travis was an Undergraduate Research Assistant with NOAA from May 2019 to August 2019, where a new tool was developed for detecting an intranuclear bacterium related to the Nuclear Inclusion X Disease, with results published in the Journal of Invertebrate Pathology. An Associate Researcher at Georgia Institute of Technology from May 2018 to August 2018, Brooke A. Travis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Cornell University, earned in 2020.
