Jim Rate possesses extensive experience in aerospace engineering, currently serving as Air Vehicle Design Team Lead at Callen-Lenz since February 2023, after previously holding the position of Senior Air Vehicle Design Engineer. Prior roles include Senior Aerospace Systems Engineer and Systems Engineer at QinetiQ from March 2021 to February 2023, and Principal Engineer at MBDA for a brief period in late 2020. Jim's earlier career includes positions as a Systems Engineer at Airbus Defence and Space from April 2017 to November 2020, and Junior Mechanical Engineer followed by Engineering Intern at Surface Technology International Limited. Jim Rate earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering, both from Brunel University London, with studies completed in 2016 and 2015, respectively.
