Jenna Gilkes is a research scientist at Callaghan Innovation, a position held since May 2021. Prior to this role, Jenna served as a postdoctoral researcher and PhD student at the University of Canterbury from September 2015 to May 2021, also completing a PhD in Biochemistry during this time. In addition, Jenna gained experience as a lead bioprocessing scientist at Futurity Bio Ventures from January 2020 to February 2021 and was a PhD student at The New Zealand Institute for Plant and Food Research Limited concurrently. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry from the University of Canterbury, a Master of Philosophy in Biology from The University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus, and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the same institution, complemented by an International Baccalaureate from UWC-USA.
