Secretary-Treasurer Leslie Littman has taught AP US History, Economics and Government at Hart High School in the William S. Hart Union High School District for 23 years. In addition, she advised yearbook for a decade, led the school’s accreditation review twice, and served as a mentor teacher. In the 2011-12 school year, she received the NEA Foundation Award for Teaching Excellence.
At the state level, she served on the CTA State Council as a delegate and later as chair of the Credentials and Professional Development and Elections Committees.
Additionally she was a member of the CTA ABC Committee, CTA’s political action committee, for nine years. From 2003-2008, Littman served as the Superintendent of Public Instruction’s designee on the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
A graduate of California public schools and universities, she received her BA in History and Economics and Master’s Degree in Education from UCLA. Littman became a teacher because it is a profession where each day is different, and each day brings a new opportunity to help students achieve their dreams.
She resides in Santa Clarita.
