Denise Chavez serves as the Civic Engagement Coordinator for Fresno, and her main goal is to promote positive change within her community. She is responsible for coordinating and supporting the development and execution of the California Primary Care Association's (CPCA) Community Health Center (CHC) Civic Engagement Program. Denise aims to educate and empower both CHCs and the diverse communities they serve, inspiring them to become civically engaged advocates for improved public health and overall well-being.

In her role, Denise collaborates with CHCs, Regional Clinic Consortia, and community-based organizations to build a strong statewide infrastructure for civic engagement.
