David Simon has a diverse work experience in communications and journalism. David started their career as an Assistant City Editor at the Carroll County Times before moving on to become an Assistant City Editor at The Frederick News-Post. David then worked as an Adjunct Professor at American University and Hood College, teaching journalism courses. David also had a role as a Communications Specialist at The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine. David later became the Managing Editor at Post-Newsweek Media, where they implemented various initiatives to improve newsroom quality. David also served as the Editor at The Daily Record and as a Senior Writer at the University of Chicago Medicine and Biological Sciences Development. David then joined the Maryland Hospital Association, first as a Manager of Communications and later as the Vice President of Communications. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Vice President of Communications at the California Hospital Association.
David Simon started their education by earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Literature from the University at Albany, SUNY. David attended the university from 1994 to 1998. Later, they pursued their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Journalism at the Columbia University - Graduate School of Journalism, from 2001 to 2002.
