Jina J. Kim is a Deputy Attorney General at the California Department of Justice since September 2023, previously serving as an Equal Justice Works Fellow with Communities for a Better Environment from September 2021 to August 2023. Early legal experience includes roles as a Legal Intern at the County of Marin, contributing to the Drawdown: Marin project, and as a Student Clinician at the Berkeley Environmental Law Clinic during two separate periods. Additional clerkship experience encompasses positions at Shute, Mihaly & Weinberger LLP and Earthjustice, as well as a legal internship at Communities for a Better Environment. Jina J. Kim's environmental policy background includes research fellowships with the US Environmental Protection Agency and work as an Environmental Health Researcher at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Jina J. Kim holds a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley with specialization in Environmental Law and has graduate and undergraduate degrees in Environmental Health and Biology from Harvard and Duke University, respectively.
