Rammohan (Ram) Rao, PhD, is a Principal Research Scientist at Apollo Health, focusing on Alzheimer’s disease prevention and memory-loss reversal through a comprehensive therapeutic program. With over 30 years of medical research experience, Rammohan has held various positions including Consultant Chair for the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging and Faculty Teacher at the California College of Ayurveda, where teachings include Ayurvedic philosophy, pathology, and clinical neurology. Rammohan previously worked as a Principal Research Scientist at AffirmativHealth, developing personalized treatment plans for dementia, and held a Research Associate Professor role at the Buck Institute, specializing in Alzheimer’s disease and neurodegeneration. Rammohan earned a PhD in Neurosciences from Christian Medical College & Hospital, Vellore, and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Neuroscience at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. Additionally, Rammohan is a certified Yoga Teacher, recognized by the Yoga Alliance of North America.
