Mark Tanis is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in information technology management and education. Currently serving as President/CTO at California Business Technology, Inc. since January 2014, Mark leads an IT Managed Service Provider focused on the San Francisco Bay Area. Previously, Mark founded TG Information Systems Inc. in 2009 after operating as a sole proprietor under Tanis Information Systems since 2004, providing IT support for small businesses. Academic contributions include a role as Lead Area Faculty Chair at the University of Phoenix, where Mark taught various IT courses across multiple modalities. Previous positions held include Vice President at TriVirix, Program Manager at Lockheed Martin, Director of Information Systems at Tecstar, and Engineering Information Systems Specialist at Aerojet. Mark holds a BS/MS in Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, an MS in Applied Computer Science from Azusa Pacific University, and an MBA in Management from the Drucker School of Management.
