Vanessa Ford Contreras has a diverse and extensive work experience in the skincare and aesthetics industry. Vanessa began their career in 1997 as an Esthetician at 77 Maiden Lane Salon and Spa, where they worked until 2008. From 2008 to 2010, they were a Clinical Aesthetician at Epi Center Medspa. In 2010, they joined Joseph Cozza Salon Inc. as an Esthetician and stayed with them until 2017. During this time, they also worked as a Clinical Aesthetician at David W. Kim, MD in 2011. Currently, Vanessa is working at SkinSpirit Skincare Clinic and Spa as an Aesthetic Medical Assistant & Clinical Aesthetician, a position they have held since March 2017.

Vanessa Ford Contreras started their education at Arroyo Grande High School, where they attended from 1985 to 1989. Vanessa did not receive a degree or specialize in a particular field of study during this time. After completing high school, Vanessa went on to pursue a degree in Cosmetology at Allan Hancock College. Vanessa studied cosmetology from 1989 to 1990 and obtained their license from the California Board of Cosmetology in October 1990.

In addition to their formal education, Vanessa also obtained several certifications. In August 2020, they became a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Vanessa also obtained their California Board of Cosmetology License in 1990 from Allan Hancock College.
