Doug Smith is an experienced vehicle technician instructor currently at Calian since November 2015. Previously, Doug served as Service and Finishing Manager at INKAS Group of Companies, managing various operations related to servicing, projects, quality assurance, and paint sections. Doug's background includes a role as a Production Officer in the Canadian Forces, overseeing a workshop with 28 employees. With extensive experience in the Department of National Defence, Doug held positions ranging from Training Resources and overseeing Occupational Specialty Courses to Section Supervisor, where responsibilities included daily operations and managing teams of technicians. Doug is an alumnus of both the Canadian Forces Leadership College and the Canadian Forces School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, holding qualifications as a Vehicle Technician.
