Barb Button has over 30 years of experience in payroll management and human resources, currently serving as Manager of HR Special Projects at Calian Group since March 2016, focusing on Occupational Health and Safety and policy development. Prior to this, Barb held the position of Manager Payroll at Calian, overseeing payroll operations for more than 1,000 employees and managing a team of four. Previous roles include North American Payroll Manager at ActivCard, Payroll Manager at Newbridge Networks, and Payroll Accountant at Royal Ottawa Health Care Group, where extensive payroll processing and HRIS collaboration were central responsibilities. Barb began a career in accounting at United Building Products and holds a diploma from Algonquin College.
