EJ Etherington is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in software development and operations management. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer at MasterControl since November 2022, EJ has held various leadership roles including Team Lead at Datadog and Senior Manager of Ops and Platform at Open Raven. EJ's background includes significant contributions as Director of Engineering at PEAK6 and CTO at Fairwinds, among other positions in Site Reliability and DevOps. Holding a Master’s degree in Biotechnology with a focus on Molecular Biology from Oregon State University and a dual degree in Microbiology and Outdoor Education from The Evergreen State College, EJ combines technical expertise with a strong educational foundation.
