Cory Pfohl began their career in 1996 as a Programmer for the United States Air Force. Cory then worked as a Programmer for The Ultimate Software Consultants from 2000 to 2003. From 2003 to 2017, they worked at Pinnacol Assurance, first as a Senior Technical Analyst and then as an Associate Vice President Platform Technologies. In 2017, they joined Cake as the Chief Technology Officer.

Cory Pfohl has a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from Colorado State University Global and an Associate's Degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
