Jennifer Whitesell

Director - Translational Models And Biomarkers at CajalNeuro

Jennifer Whitesell has worked in a variety of roles in the field of neuroscience. Jennifer began their career in 2002 as a Research Associate at Colorado State University. Jennifer then pursued a graduate degree at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, graduating in 2007. Following their graduation, they became a Postdoctoral Fellow at Colorado State University, where they conducted research on neurodegeneration in the olfactory system during prion disease. In 2014, they joined the Allen Institute for Brain Science as a Scientist, where they studied cortical connectivity by mapping brain-wide projections from subtypes of cortical neurons. Most recently, they are an Associate Director - Translational Models at Cajal Neuroscience, where they continue their research.

Jennifer Whitesell's education history includes a Ph.D in Neuroscience from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (2007-2012), an MS in Biochemistry from Colorado State University (2004-2005), a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Colorado State University (2004-2005), an MS in Biochemistry from Colorado State University (2005), a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Colorado State University (2004), and an AS from Pikes Peak State College (1999-2001). Jennifer also attended high school.
