Claire McVey, PhD, is a Lecturer at CAFRE with experience in developing and validating food authenticity methods using spectroscopic techniques. Claire has also worked as a Researcher at Queen's University Belfast, where Claire focused on ELISAs for food safety applications and developing multifunctional nano-composites for detecting pathogenic bacteria in food and feed. With a strong background in molecular biology and food safety, Claire has a wealth of experience in research, lab management, and industry liaison.
