Michael Clarke has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Michael began their career as a Research Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and later worked as a Research Assistant at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Michael then joined the MIT International Center for Air Transportation as a Research Assistant, where they conducted studies on irregular airline operations and robust airline planning.

After that, Michael joined AGIFORS and held various roles such as Co-Chairman of Airline Operations and President of the General Council. In these positions, they organized and coordinated conferences and symposiums on the application of operations research techniques in airline operations. Michael also contributed to the growth and expansion of AGIFORS by attracting delegates from different types of airlines.

Michael then moved to Sabre Corporation, where they held multiple positions, including Principal Research Scientist, Solution Designer, Solutions Director, and Sales Engineer. Michael Clarke has an extensive education history. Michael obtained an S.B. degree in Aeronautics & Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 1988 to 1992. Michael then pursued an S.M. degree in Aeronautics & Astronautics from MIT from 1992 to 1994. Following this, they attended the MIT Sloan School of Management from 1995 to 1997 and obtained an S.M. degree in Operations Research. Finally, they completed their education by earning a Sc.D. degree in Flight Transportation from MIT from 1994 to 1998.
