Mark Soodeen has a strong background in technology strategy and innovation. Mark started their career at EADS as a Systems Engineer in the Military Aircraft and Radar Divisions. In 2001, they joined CAE as a Group Leader in Systems Engineering and later became a Manager in the same field. Mark then progressed to roles such as Product Manager, Director of Product Strategy and Business Development, and Head of New Business Initiatives. Since 2010, Mark has been a crucial part of CAE's Advanced Technology and Innovation team, first as a Senior Technical Lead and currently as the Director. In their current role, they are responsible for leveraging their knowledge in Market Strategy, Product Strategy, Business Development, and Systems Engineering to create an innovative technology strategy. Mark also drives data analytics initiatives and implements the technology strategy into the Business Units, tracking progress and mitigating risks through quarterly reviews.

Mark Soodeen graduated from Queen's University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Honours degree in Computing & Information Science. In 2016, they obtained an Airplane Single Engine Land License (Private Pilot License, Day/Night Rating) from the Federal Aviation Administration.
