Jon Micetic started their work experience in 2008 as a Flight Instructor at Westwind School of Aeronautics, Phoenix LLC. Jon later became the Check Airman and then the Assistant Chief Flight Instructor. During their time at the school, they achieved ACCSC accreditation and implemented a flight training ERP system. In 2019, they moved on to become the Head of Training Delivery at CAE, where they led various airline pilot training programs and managed a large team of instructors and cadets.

Jon Micetic earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2007. In 2012, they completed their MBA in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Additionally, Jon holds certifications as a Flight Instructor for Single and Multi-Engine aircraft with an Instrument rating, obtained from the Federal Aviation Administration in 2008, and as an Airline Transport Pilot for Multi-Engine and Commercial Single-Engine aircraft, obtained in 2003.
