Caden Armstrong

Onshape Development Lead at CADSharp

Caden’s programming career began at an early age as he developed web-sites, mobile apps, and robots. Deeply touched after leafing through a worn copy of Stephen Hawking’s Black Holes and Baby Universes at a yard sale, he pursued a degree in Astrophysics at the University of Toronto, graduating in 2016 with publications such as “High-Order harmonics in light curves of Kepler planets”, in which he proved to lesser minds that high-order harmonics from Lomb-Scargle FFTs are unreliable in analysis of traits such as albedo and mass. Desiring prestige and wealth, he began programming CAD addins in 2017. Since June 2020 he has worked as an Onshape FeatureScript developer and team lead with CADSharp. He currently lives in Nova Scotia with his partner, where he enjoys rock climbing, sailing, and perfecting his lobster mac and cheese recipe.
