Nicola Yelland has a diverse range of work experience spanning over a decade. Nicola began their career as an Accounts Assistant at Enpure Limited from June 2008 to August 2009. Nicola then joined National Grid in 2010, initially working as a Procurement Process Analyst and later as the Web & Media Editor of Newnet. In 2012, they moved to the role of IS Service Delivery Analyst and then served as a Public Affairs Advisor, Global Business Resilience and Continuity, and IS Business Consultant, each with different responsibilities and areas of focus. Nicola continued their career at National Grid as the London Customer Specialist from January 2015 to March 2016 and as the London Performance & Assurance Manager from April 2016 to April 2017. After leaving National Grid, they volunteered as a Customer Journey Project Manager at RNIB from December 2016 to January 2018. Most recently, Nicola joined Cadent Gas Limited in 2017, first as the London Emergency Network Manager, then as the Director of Central Operations, and currently holds the position of Director of Business Change and Transition.

Nicola Yelland obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Information Management & Business Studies from Loughborough University, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. In addition to their degree, they have also obtained various certifications. In October 2012, they obtained an ITIL Foundation certification from QA Ltd. Later in June 2013, they obtained PRINCE2 Foundation and PRINCE2 Practitioner certifications from the same institution. In March 2014, they obtained Change Management Foundation and Change Management Practitioner certifications from APMG-International.
