Sharad Mehrotra has extensive experience in the field of electrical engineering and software development, currently serving as Vice President of Research and Development at Cadence Design Systems since July 2012, following roles as Senior R&D Group Director and Senior Software Architect. Previous positions include Principal Technologist at Mentor Graphics, VP of Engineering at Pyxis Technology, Senior Staff Engineer at Sun Microsystems, and Senior Engineer at IBM Corporation. Early in the career, Sharad Mehrotra worked as a Research Assistant at North Carolina State University. Educational qualifications comprise a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University, and a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
