Malcolm Deason has extensive experience in the banking industry. Malcolm began their career at First Bank & Trust East Texas in 1998, where they served as Senior Vice President until April 2023. Following that, they joined Southside Bank in 2017 as Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking until April 2023. Currently, they are the Lufkin Market President at Cadence Bank since November 2022.

Malcolm Deason attended Prairie View A&M University from 1993 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Accounting. From 1999 to 2001, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General at Stephen F. Austin State University.
