Douglas Korneffel has extensive work experience in the field of engineering software and management. Douglas started their career at SDRC Inc. in 1984, where they held the roles of Product Manager and Planning Manager for over 15 years. In 2000, they joined UGS (Unigraphics and EDS, now Siemens PLM) as an International Product Manager and Customer Liaison for Global CAD Products, focusing on NX - Unigraphics Drafting and surrounding PLM products. During their time at UGS, they worked on CAD interoperability and the merger of Unigraphics and the I-DEAS CAD systems into the modern NX. Douglas also specialized in introducing ASME Y14. In 2005, they joined CADENAS PARTsolutions as their Chief Technology Officer. Douglas was responsible for the Sales, Promotion, Construction, and Delivery of 3D digital catalogs available online, as well as Strategic Parts Management used by engineers to Find, Reuse, and Control standard and commercial 3D digital parts. Douglas modernized dozens of Manufacturer's Digital Customer Experience through 3D visualization and successfully launched ASME's first-ever standard released as a 3D digital parts catalog - B18. In 2019, they continued their role as Chief Technology Officer at CADENAS PARTsolutions USA.
Douglas Korneffel has pursued their education in Tool Engineering, earning a degree in ADENG. Douglas attended ITT Tech, the University of Cincinnati, and Xavier, although specific start and end years are not known.
