Visionary CEO with over 20 years as a pioneer in the storage industry. Ash created the first open source NAS (Network Attached Storage) stack, the first unified block/file storage stack for Linux, the first storage management software, innovating many times along the way.
He has served in a number of VP and CXO roles for some of the leaders in storage and open source, including Xyratex (now Seagate), Snap Appliance (now Microsemi), and VA Linux Systems.
Ash’s uncanny ability to be creative and leave a lasting influence on technology is what truly sets him apart. He is happy to admit that he will be 100 years old and still writing open source software for the world.
