Jesus Chavez has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jesus is currently the Co-Founder/CEO of CABRA Sports, a community and platform that focuses on the intersection of Latino culture and sports culture. Prior to this, they served as the Co-CEO and Managing Director of Black//Brown, a strategic advisory shop and content studio that specializes in applying diverse insights to brands' value chains. Jesus has also worked as a Board Member at Girl Rising, a global non-profit organization that advocates for girls' education through storytelling.
Jesus Chavez has a background in media and digital strategy. Jesus was the Chief Executive Officer of Vertical Networks and the Chief Operating Officer of mitú, where they held various leadership roles. Jesus has extensive experience in the digital space and has led teams in the development and implementation of digital strategies for Univision Communications, Inc. During their tenure at Univision, they served as the Senior Vice President of Interactive and Vice President of General Manager Local Interactive, among other roles.
Early in their career, Jesus worked as an IT Intern at DIRECTV and an Engineering Support Analyst at CDI Engineering Services. Jesus also worked as an IT Consultant at Accenture, where they specialized in webMethods B2B development and helped clients improve their business processes.
Throughout their career, Jesus Chavez has demonstrated a passion for diversity and social impact. Jesus is a creator and co-host of the TDR Podcast, which focuses on provocative conversations at the intersection of business, politics, and culture.
Jesus Chavez completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering at UC Santa Barbara, from 1995 to 1999. Jesus then pursued further education at UCLA Anderson School of Management, earning a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree between the years 2003 and 2005.
