Vicky Li has three years of work experience. In 2022, they were a MS&T Research Associate at Cabaletta Bio, where they devised and implemented media comparability protocols to observe the effects of different culture medium formulations on expansion and final product characteristics of proprietary CAAR-T cells. Vicky also interrogated the phenotyping and functionality of manufactured CAAR-T cells by executing various cell-based assays, including flow cytometry and cytotoxicity assays (cell-killing). In 2021, they were a Global Vaccine Technical Operations, Associate Specialist, Engineer at Merck, where they devised and performed technical protocol optimizing homogenization of gelatin and carboxymethyl cellulose in collaboration with Sterile Liquid Commercialization. Vicky also handled and experimented with live viral serotypes resulting in vaccine development. In 2020, they were a STAR Scholar at Drexel University School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems, where they investigated neo-extracellular matrix in wild-type mouse’s femoral head with click labeling and performed literature searches pertaining to the interest of lab members beyond requested. Vicky also devised an experimental protocol investigating decorin’s role.
Vicky Li is currently pursuing a BS/MS in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems. Prior to this, they attended Cherokee High School from 2015 to 2019.
