SallyAnn McIlhinney-Rusin has an extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. SallyAnn started their career at Bell Laboratories in 1984 and worked as a Member Technical Staff until 1996. SallyAnn then joined Lucent Technologies as an MTS and stayed with the company until 2000. After that, they worked at Avaya as a Senior Manager for eight years. In 2008, they joined Strategic Products and Services as a Service Operations Manager and held the position until 2013. SallyAnn then became a PMO Program Manager at the same company until 2014. In 2014, they joined NACR as a Services Engagement Manager, and later became the Director of MSCC Account Services. In the same year, they also joined ConvergeOne as the Director of Operations and later took on roles including Director of CSC Strategic Initiatives and Program Executive.

SallyAnn McIlhinney-Rusin has completed a program in Negotiation & Leadership at Harvard University in 2019. In 2023, they obtained a Certificate in Digital Transformation from MIT Professional Education. SallyAnn also holds a BBA degree from the Fox School of Business at Temple University, with a field of study in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services.
