Marcus Svensson began their work experience in 2016 with RUAG Space AB as the BRAINS@RUAG. In this role, they and their team developed a robot arm from scratch, with Marcus responsible for constructing and building the mechanics of the robot arm. In 2017, they joined Volvo Cars as a Design Engineer - Body Control, where they led projects for cost reduction and coordinated advanced engineering projects for the ART Body Control. In 2019, they moved to Bzzt AB (publ) as the CTO and Head of Technology Development, responsible for technology development at the mini mobility as a service startup. In this role, they guided the development of various efforts such as concepts for a battery swap on the vehicles, co-creation of a web-based booking system and vehicle evaluations with real customers. Marcus also served as Lead Engineer, responsible for developing existing and future vehicles, with the first project involving the development of new suspensions in cooperation with the supplier.
Marcus Svensson attended the University of Borås, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering from 2011 to 2014. Marcus then went on to attend Chalmers University of Technology, where they obtained a Master's degree in Management and Economics of Innovation from 2014 to 2016. During this time, they also completed an exchange semester at Università Bocconi in 2015, studying Accounting, Finance and Management.
