Tim Van Laer is a software engineer who currently works for Byteflies. Tim has previous experience working as a data engineer and a Java developer. In their role as a data engineer, Tim developed a reactive streaming platform based on Kafka. Tim also has experience installing and customizing Lily, a datastore and analytics solution by NGDATA based on Cloudera's Hadoop stack. In their role as a Java developer, Tim worked on the Bolero 3 project for KBC Securities.

Tim Van Laer reports to Tim Bogaert, CTO. They are on a team with Matthias Swiggers - Firmware Engineer, Waverlee Harvey - Application Engineer & Scrum Master, and Leen Toelen - Software Engineer.
