Brian Bushell has over 18 years of experience in the business world. Brian began their career in 2002 as the Founder of Memory Foam Factory, an e-commerce solution to the growing demand for temperature sensative mattresses and pillows. In 2006, they joined Musebox Media as Managing Partner. In 2008, they Co-Founded and became the CEO of Baked by Melissa, a New York City bakery famous for its bite-size stuffed cupcakes. The company operates retail shops in and around New York and New Jersey, and a e-commerce platform, shipping its bite-size baked goods and specialty gifts throughout the United States. In 2018, they Co-Founded and became the CEO of by Humankind.

Brian Bushell attended Syracuse University from 2000 to 2003 and Pascack Valley High School prior to that.
