Marco Valerio Izzo has worked in various professional roles since 2008. Marco Valerio began their career as a Ski Instructor & Technical Coordinator at Sci Accademico Italiano - Napoli. In 2012, they took on the role of Business Consultant at Vision & Value, where they developed a framework for the evaluation of integration policies for the Italian Ministry of Internal Affairs. In 2014, they became a Business Development Representative for Italian Scouts in Silicon Valley, where they found financial and commercial partners for a group of 10 cross-technology Italian startups. Marco Valerio also worked as an Investment Analyst at Tech-Hub in the same year. In 2015, they founded Volano and served as its Finance and Business Partner. From 2017-2021, they were Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Board of Directors at Buzzoole, where they managed overall budgeting, business planning, accounting, and investor relations. Marco Valerio also served as the HR Director for 45 people across 3 offices in Naples, Milan, and London. In 2021, they began teaching as a Professor at Istituto Europeo di Design.

Marco Valerio Izzo obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II in 2012. Marco Valerio then went on to obtain their Master's Degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations from the same university in 2014. In 2015, they completed a Post-Graduate Diploma Course in Chartered Accountancy from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II. Additionally, in April 2014, they obtained a Business English Certificate from Vantage.
