Alex Chen is a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Butlr since March 2024, previously serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Collins Aerospace from March 2021 to March 2024. Alex began a professional career at Tesla as a Summer Intern in 2020, and contributed as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan from February 2018 to March 2021, optimizing network caching algorithms through machine learning under Professor Vijay Subramanian. Earlier internships at Hughes involved developing multithreaded code and enhancing logging systems, while experiences at the National Institute on Drug Abuse and On-Go, Inc. included web development and programming satellite telecommunications interfaces. Alex holds both a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, completed in 2020 and 2016, respectively.
