Jeff Lin has a diverse work experience. Jeff is currently the CEO of Pennant since March 2022 and previously held the same position at Bust Out starting from February 2005. Jeff has also worked as a Limited Partner at Groove Capital and Tundra Ventures, starting in January and December 2021 respectively. Prior to that, they served as an Adjunct Professor at Hennepin Technical College from January 2011 to December 2012. Jeff began their career as a Software Engineer at Retek in August 1998 and held the role of technical team lead until August 2004. Jeff also had a brief stint as an Indentured Servant at the Public Broadcasting Service in June to October 2003. Jeff's earliest work experience was as a Multicultural Peer Leader at Carleton College from September 1995 to June 1998.

Jeff Lin attended Oberlin College from 1992 to 1994, where they studied mathematics, German, physics, and music. Jeff then transferred to Carleton College and obtained a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Molecular Biology, graduating magna cum laude and making the Dean's List from 1994 to 1998.
