Gail Nelson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in economic development and project management. Currently serving as a Regional Project Manager at Business Oregon since February 2022, Gail oversees economic development projects in several Oregon counties, including Hood River, Wasco, Sherman, Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson. Previous roles include Economic Development & Tourism Coordinator for Umatilla County and Executive Director at the Pendleton Chamber of Commerce. Gail’s earlier career includes positions such as Rural Mail Carrier at the United States Postal Service and Education Director at Sylvan Learning. Gail holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Montana and has also attended Concordia College.
