Christen Dobson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in human rights, gender justice, and environmental justice. Currently serving as Co-Head of the Civic Freedoms and Human Rights Defenders Programme at the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre since May 2017, Christen has previously held roles such as Senior Project Lead and Researcher, where significant contributions included launching the Technology and Human Rights programme and managing projects on climate justice. As an independent consultant since November 2016, Christen has collaborated with various organizations, including The Hive Fund for Climate and Gender Justice, where leadership in elevating women's voices in climate action was emphasized. Previous roles include Program Director at the International Human Rights Funders Group and Gender Fellow at EarthRights International, among several other impactful positions throughout the career. Christen holds a Master of International Affairs in Human Rights from Columbia University and a BA in International Studies, Japanese, and Spanish from the University of Mount Union.
