Tumi Makam has extensive experience in human resources and community development across various prominent organizations. Currently serving as Principal HRBP at Bushveld Minerals since November 2021, Tumi previously held the position of Human Resources Director at Shanahan Engineering from June 2016 to March 2022. Tumi's background includes significant roles at Black Wattle Colliery and Anglo Coal South Africa, specializing in social and labor plans, employee relations, talent management, and compliance with labor legislation. Tumi's career commenced as an HR Management Trainee at Goedehoop Colliery, followed by various HR-focused roles that emphasized organizational effectiveness and employee development. Tumi holds multiple degrees from the University of Port Elizabeth, including a Bachelor's in Psychology, and furthered education with a certificate from Cambridge University in Advanced Social Management.
