Shelly Brown is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in strategic planning, enterprise IT management, and business process improvement. Currently serving as an Advisory Board Member for KansasCityCIO since May 2023, Shelly has held the position of Vice President of Global Information Technology at Burns & McDonnell since August 2014, where responsibilities include assessing enterprise challenges and implementing IT change management initiatives. Prior roles include Director of Information Management Practice at JMA Information Technology, where Shelly provided expertise across multiple industries, and CIS Manager at HNTB, overseeing a team in Enterprise Content Management. Shelly also has entrepreneurial experience as the President of Evolve PC LLC and has held various technical and managerial positions at CA, Sprint, Cerebral Palsy Research Foundation, and Boeing Corporation. Shelly holds an MBA from Rockhurst University and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Washburn University.
