Mikayla Shearer is a legal professional with significant experience in various roles, currently serving as a Partner and Senior Associate at Burnham Law since November 2021. In addition, Mikayla has owned Basecamp Books and Adventure since April 2023, which specializes in new and used books. Active in the legal community, Mikayla is a Board Member for The Colorado Lawyer and previously chaired the History Committee for the Colorado Women's Bar Association. Previous positions include Associate Attorney roles at Robinson & Henry, P.C., The Harris Law Firm, and Marrison Family Law, LLC, and Staff Attorney at YoungWilliams. Mikayla began legal career as a Law Clerk at the Montgomery County Public Defender's Office. Educational background includes a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Dayton School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Marshall University.
