Melissa Luke, LMHC has worked in the mental health field since 2011. Melissa began their career as a Psychiatric Center Volunteer Intern at SUNY Upstate Medical University and a Volunteer Intern at the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital at New York Presbyterian Hospital. In 2012, they became a Childcare Worker Intern at Elmcrest Children's Center, and in 2013 they were a Mental Health Department Intern at Graham Windham and a Special Needs Provider at CHDFS, Inc. In 2015, Melissa worked as a Medicaid Service Coordinator at AHRC New York City, and as an Intern/Trainee at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. From 2016 to 2022, they were a Social Worker at Good Shepherd Services, and is currently a Mental Health Instructor at Burnalong.
Melissa Luke, LMHC has a comprehensive educational background. Melissa obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Syracuse University in 2012, followed by a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Addiction Studies from the same institution in 2013. Melissa then earned a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Mercy College in 2016. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Mental Health Counselor from the Office of Professions in 2018, Mental Health First Aid from Thrive NYC in 2017, and Child Abuse Identification in 2016. Melissa also holds a NYS Mandated Reporter certification from the NYS Office for Children & Family Services, obtained in 2019.
