Oliver Butler has a diverse work experience in the legal and financial sectors. Oliver is currently working as a Member at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) since March 2022. Oliver has experience as a Panel Member at the Central Bank of Ireland, starting in October 2014. Oliver began their career as a Barrister at Law at The Bar of Ireland in October 2006. Oliver was also an Academic Editor at the Hibernian Law Journal from September 2012 to September 2014. Additionally, they worked as a Director at ATC Capital Markets Limited from January 2006 to December 2013. Oliver has held positions at the American Arbitration Association as a Case Manager ICDR in August 2010, at Calyon as a Director of CDOs and Structured Products from May 2004 to October 2006, and at ING Barings as a Director of Structured Finance from January 2001 to May 2004.
Oliver Butler attended St. Columba's College in Dublin, Ireland, from 1988 to 1994. Oliver then went on to study at Trinity College Dublin from 1994 to 1998. In 1996, they also studied at Université Paris-Sorbonne and obtained a Licentiate Degree. Oliver then pursued further education at Queen Mary University of London from 2002 to 2005. In the same year, they also obtained a certification from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Additionally, in 2002, they studied at The Honorable Society of King's Inns and earned a degree in Barrister at Law.
