Tom Kane is a Senior Scientific Officer at the Bureau of Meteorology, with a focus on Radar Data, serving in multiple roles including WMO Weather Radar Metadata Focal Point and acting capacities in Satellite Operations and Active Remote Sensing Management. Prior to this position, Tom worked as a Tutor at the Lalor Living and Learning Centre, providing instruction in mathematics and physics to secondary school students, and as an Undergraduate Tutor and Laboratory Demonstrator at La Trobe University, teaching various physics topics and practical laboratories. Tom has pursued advanced education at La Trobe University, working towards a Doctor of Philosophy in Space Physics and holding a Bachelor of Space Science with Honours in Physics and Space Science.
