David Vogt serves as the Branch of Geospatial Services Chief at the Bureau of Indian Affairs since January 2021. Previously, David held the position of Geographer at the U.S. Census Bureau from December 2015 to January 2021, where responsibilities included directing imagery acquisition and collaborating with government stakeholders. Prior roles include GIS/Aeronautical Info Analyst at Lockheed Martin, where David supported the FAA's Radar Video Mapping team, and GIS/SAR Data Analyst at Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies, assisting the National Ice Center with Synthetic Aperture Radar imagery. David's earlier experience includes roles as a GIS Analyst with Atkins, focusing on flood map analysis, and as an Operations Analyst with CTR Investments & Consulting, managing transit voucher distribution. Academically, David holds a Master of Science in GIS Management from Salisbury University and a Bachelor of Science in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from the University of Maryland.
