Stephen Douglas serves as the Interim Group Head of Data Governance at Bupa, where the role involves developing enterprise-wide data governance and responsible AI frameworks while reporting to the Group Chief Legal Officer. With extensive experience in privacy and data management, Stephen has held significant positions such as Global Head of Data & Privacy Risk and Data Protection Officer for The AA, where a privacy program was established from the ground up. Additional roles include Principal at Promontory Financial Group and Director of EMEA Privacy at Western Union. A committed volunteer, Stephen serves as a Director for THE HORSELL VILLAGE AFTER SCHOOL CLUB and previously co-chaired the London chapter of the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Stephen holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Rights Law and Practice from Northumbria University and a BA in Business Administration from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
