William (Bill) Coen is an accomplished financial professional with extensive experience in banking and advisory roles. Currently serving on the Board of Directors for Buna, China Construction Bank, and Toronto Centre, Coen also holds positions as Chair of the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee at Buna and Chair of the IFRS Advisory Council with the IFRS Foundation. Additional roles include membership on the Global Advisory Board at MUFG and the Advisory Board at Suade Labs, as well as a Senior Advisor position at Baton Systems and a Global Senior Advisor role at KPMG. Coen previously held significant positions at the Bank for International Settlements, including Secretary General of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, where William (Bill) directed key global banking standards initiatives. Coen earned an MBA in Accounting and Finance from Fordham Gabelli School of Business and a BS from Manhattan University.
