Dave Merriwether is the Chief Product Officer at Bumped. Dave was previously the Managing Partner at Theory Venture Partners, and before that, the Sr. Director of Product at WebMD Health Services. Dave is passionate about new product innovation and enabling managed service offerings to consumer-facing products.
At Theory, Dave was responsible for driving strategy, execution and locating key investment opportunities and performing deep product and technology due diligence for venture capital and private equity investors. Dave helped define and lead development of a SaaS platform and product for a $500M agency to convert an existing analytics service model into a software product; the product is set to launch in 2018.
Before Theory, Dave worked for the CEO and COO of a private-equity owned retailer, building robust financial models and pro forma analyses to support key retail and operational decisions. Dave presented their findings to the board of directors, yielding different operating metrics measurement and business process changes. Dave also developed a financial dashboard for a digital marketing agency to understand and optimize current operational gaps, and initiated product ideas on how to increase client pitch yield.
Dave Merriwether has a MBA from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business and a BSME from Stanford University.
