Matthew Healey is an experienced machine learning engineer and data scientist currently serving as the Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Bumble since May 2022, focusing on search and recommendation products as well as contributing to the MLOps platform. Previously, Matthew worked as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer and Senior Software Engineer at Williams Racing, where responsibilities included designing data systems and developing high-throughput ingestion solutions. Matthew has also held roles at Aviva as a Lead Data Scientist specializing in AI projects with unstructured data, as a Principal Data Scientist in AI consultancy, and as a Race Strategy Engineer where strategic AI models were created for race optimization. Early career included software development for the MoD and research at the University of Warwick, culminating in a BSc MPhys in Physics from the same institution.
