Aviv Shany is an experienced data science professional with a strong background in statistical analysis and research. Currently serving as Data Science Manager at Bumble Inc. since March 2020, Aviv has progressed through various roles including Lead Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist, contributing to the people recommendations team. Prior experience includes a Data Scientist position at Benchmark.games, where Aviv was responsible for generating data, building predictive models, and developing in-house tools for data analysis. Earlier academic roles at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Reichman University involved teaching statistics and conducting research in social psychology. Aviv holds a B.A. in Psychology from Reichman University and has completed graduate-level coursework in Cognitive Psychology at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, alongside a brief internship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
